Overview
Learning the skills to effectively triage patients and manage resources is a skill that requires experiential learning. Once a disaster situation arises, there is minimal time to pontificate on the best course of action, and providers are required to rely heavily on their previous training. This debrief discusses overall learning points from the prior simulation exercise.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this presentation, the participant should be able to:

  1. Discuss how to manage and prioritize care for multiple casualties from an explosion / blast incident concomitantly
  2. Describe how to organize team and individual roles to communicate and care for all casualties effectively
  3. Discuss which patients need to go to the operating room expediently
  4. Describe unique safety issues following explosion event
