Overview

The Division of Cardiology at WellSpan York Hospital is dedicated to providing educational activities for all WellSpan affiliated practices which lead to improved patient care. By the conclusion of this series, participants should have a better understanding of recent developments in cardiovascular medicine which should lead to improvements in clinical practice.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this presentation, the participant should be able to:

  1. Discuss latest clinical and basic scientific research influencing cardiovascular care
  2. Describe how to quantify MR using CMR
  3. Discuss new cardiovascular care clinical guidelines in effort to provide up to date, evidence based, and cost-effective cardiovascular care
  4. Discuss current evidence-based guidelines to develop standardized approaches to treating patients with cardiovascular disease
  5. Discuss the current evidence for using CMR in MR
  6. Explain how CMR is superior to echocardiography in quantifying CMR
