Overview
The Department of Medicine Regularly Scheduled Series (RSS) is designed to provide attendees with the latest concepts in clinical care, patient safety, quality improvement, team-based care, communication enhancement and other key areas. The curriculum will be comprehensive and will cover aspects of medical, pediatric, surgical, obstetrics and gynecology and behavioral health content areas relevant to family medicine and internal medicine.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this presentation, the participant should be able to:

  1. Discuss current updates in clinical evaluation and treatment regimens for common and uncommon medical, surgical, oncologic and other conditions
  2. Describe a rational approach to evaluation and management of common clinical disorders
  3. Discuss current medical literature related to medical and surgical conditions and the latest treatment strategies
  4. Discuss behavioral health components of medical and surgical care of patients for physicians/providers in Family and Internal Medicine specialties
  5. Describe important local and national quality improvement measures as related to the topic
  6. Discuss strategies for interprofessional and multidisciplinary care of the patient
