Overview
The scope of peripheral vascular disease encompasses atherosclerosis, dissection and aneurysmal disease of all arteries, exclusive of intracranial and cardiac vasculature. Disease progression can present with a wide range of devastating sequelae. Most notably critical limb ischemia, amputation, stroke, and aneurysm rupture. Patients with PAD typically have a multitude of comorbid conditions requiring care across several medical specialties. In the contemporary PAD treatment landscape many procedural specialties, including Vascular Surgery, Interventional Cardiology, Neurosurgery and Interventional Radiology, share roles in guideline directed therapy. Given the complexity of this disease and its multiorgan involvement, several medical societies, including the Society for Vascular Surgery, American Heart Association and American Podiatric Medical Association, advocate for a multi-disciplinary approach when managing these patients. We propose constructive collaboration among our specialties to engage learning, active discussion and collaboration to achieve optimal evidenced-based care for our patients. The procedural subspecialties that may submit pre-operative or post-operative de-identified patient presentations for discussion include - Vascular Surgery, Interventional Cardiology, Neurosurgery and Interventional Radiology. Presenting members may include non-WellSpan affiliated physicians within the greater York, PA region. Case Presentation Session: 10 sessions Journal Club Session: 1 session Grand Rounds/Innovative Technology: 1 session

Objectives
At the conclusion of this presentation, the participant should be able to:

  1. Discuss the importance of collaboration among PAD treating specialties
  2. Discuss surgical and endovascular treatment options for individual patients
