Overview
This symposium, open to all WellSpan team members, will primarily focus on cardiologists, nurses, advanced practice providers, and cardiovascular services professionals involved in the care of patients with cardiogenic shock. The event will explore the latest advancements in the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management of cardiogenic shock, with a particular emphasis on pulmonary hypertension, ECMO, LVAD, mechanical circulatory support, and ICU management strategies. The symposium will provide a collaborative environment for multidisciplinary teams to engage in case reviews and participate in roundtable discussions.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this presentation, the participant should be able to:

  1. Discuss early Mechanical Circulatory Support placement in Cardiogenic Shock
  2. Describe early identification of Cardiogenic Shock
  3. Review ICU patient management with Cardiogenic Shock
