APP Day- Ultrasound Techniques, Culture Follow Up, Best Practice 2024

This activity will include 3 education sessions: a 2-hour ultrasound lecture to include hands-on training, 1 hour lab culture follow up lecture to teach APPs how to better follow up on patient test results to ensure patients are treated properly even after ED discharge, and a 1-hour lecture on best practices so APPs can provide more efficient, cost-effective care.

1. Discuss how to be a competent member of the lab culture follow up team
2. Describe the impact of labs, imaging, etc on overall ED encounters
3. Review skills needed to perform basic US procedures, such as US guided IVs
