Overview
The Division of Cardiology at WellSpan York Hospital is dedicated to providing educational activities for all WellSpan affiliated practices which lead to improved patient care. By the conclusion of this series, participants should have a better understanding of recent developments in cardiovascular medicine which should lead to improvements in clinical practice.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this presentation, the participant should be able to:

  1. Identify clinical characteristics of cardiogenic shock
  2. Describe initial diagnostic and management of patients with early cardiogenic shock
  3. Describe advanced mechanical circulatory support options in patients with refractory cardiogenic shock
